  • Can help in chronic conditions such as adrenal insufficiency (Addison's disease) and certain auto-immune conditions.

Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Store away from heat and direct sunlight.

How to Use:

Administer orally at a starting dose of 2 mcg/kg once daily. Dosage may be adjusted to effect, not to exceed 4 mcg/kg daily. May cause eye irritation, an irritating smell, or headache when Prascend Tablets are split or crushed.

Weight Dosage
All weight's Shake well before using. Instill one to two drops into the conjunctival sac two to four times daily. During the initial 24 to 48 hours, the dosing frequency may be increased if necessary. Care should be taken not to discontinue therapy prematurely.

Prolonged use of corticosteroids may result in glaucoma with damage to the optic nerve, defects in visual acuity and fields of vision, and in posterior subcapsular cataract formation. Prolonged use may also suppress the host immune response and thus increase the hazard of secondary ocular infections.

Other side effects including hair thinning, fatigue, muscle weakness, high blood pressure, sudden weight gain, and panting are possible. Chronic use may induce diabetes or Cushing's disease.
