Cyclosporine is used to treat autoimmune diseases, especially those related to the blood and skin, such as atopic dermatitis, immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP), and immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA). Cyclosporine works by suppressing the action of certain cells in the immune system, preventing the immune system from attacking healthy cells and tissue.
