Animax Ointment treats acute otitis, chronic otitis, interdigital cysts, anal gland infections, and various dermatologic disorders. This ointment has four active ingredients: triamcinolone acetonide, thiostrepton, nystatin, and neomycin sulfate. Triamcinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid that provides quick and long-lasting symptomatic relief. Nystatin is an antifungal. Therefore, it effectively treats a variety of yeast and yeast-like fungi. Thiostrepton, a powerful antibiotic, helps fight bacteria that is often resistant to other medications. The final ingredient, neomycin sulfate, also fights against certain types of bacteria.
