Flexprofen is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.

For:

Dogs

Benefits:

  • Once daily dosing, provides 24 hours of relief from osteoarthritic or post-surgical pain.
  • Offers easy, oral administration and may be given with or without food to help improve compliance.
  • May be given prior to surgery and for several days after to provide sustained post-surgical relief.
  • Provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects for joint disease and surgical recovery.

How it works:

Flexprofen works by reducing hormones that cause pain and inflammation in your dog's body.

Storage:

Flexprofen should be stored at room temperature.

Keep plenty of water available for your pet to drink.
  • The recommended dosage for oral administration to dogs is 2 mg/lb of body weight daily. However, Flexprofen should be given only as prescribed by your veterinarian.
  • Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with individual response.
  • Flexprofen can be given as a single full dose once a day or divided in half and given twice a day.
  • Flexprofen is for dogs only. Do not give to cats.
  • Flexprofen are scored and dosage should be calculated in half-tablet increments. Tablets can be halved by placing the tablet on a hard surface and pressing down on both sides of the score.
  • Flexprofen may be offered to your dog by hand or placed on food. If your dog does not willingly consume the tablets, they may be hand-administered (pilled) as with other oral tablets.
  • Care should be taken to ensure that your dog consumes the complete dose.
Weight range (lbs) Dosage
All weights 2 mg/lb of dog's weight once a day or 1 mg/lb of dog's weight twice a day, or as prescribed by your veterinarian.
