Vaccines and Temperature Sensitive orders are shipped via FedEx Next Day and must be shipped Monday-Thursday. Vaccines and temperature sensitive content are non-returnable, non-refundable, and do not qualify for free shipping. All vaccines and temperature sensitive content will be shipped in insulated container with ice packs.
States that we cannot send RX Items to
Please note that there are still some states that we cannot ship RX items as our license is still processing for those states. Please check our About Us page for more information. A list of states that we can ship RX items to is provided.
International shipping starts at $33.00. However there may be additional charges added due to the weight and size of the package. If additional shipping charges are needed, you will be contacted via email prior to being charged. Please allow 2-15 business days for orders shipped with USPS. We cannot ship overnight internationally.
Please note that we cannot ship prescription pet food internationally.
RX items ordered to ship Internationally will require a prescription from a veterinarian licensed in the country the item is being shipped to along with the veterinarian's license code/number as well as the license's expiration date.
Depending on your country's regulations, your package may be delayed by customs for clearance. CPP is NOT responsible if custom delays clearance or holds your package. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay any duties/fees that apply as a result of customs.
Packages that must go UPS Ground
We ship the majority of our packages via USPS. However if the total weight of the package is over 2 pounds, it will ship via UPS Ground.
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) prevents us from air-shipping items that may cause hazard. This includes aerosol-type products, flammable and certain liquids.
As a result, these items are unable to ship Priority or Overnight and must go on UPS Ground, which may take longer to arrive.
We currently cannot ship pet food to Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories. Food items have their own shipping charges separate from our standard shipping rates. Food does not qualify for free shipping. Please see our Food Shipping Chart
Overnight shipping starts at $35.00 and must be within the United States. The cut-off time for overnight orders is 2:30pm Pacific Standard Time. Street address must be provided for delivery. Packages are shipped via FedEx. There may be additional charges added due to the weight of the package or delivery zone limitations. Overnight orders placed on a Friday will arrive the next business day. If you place an order on a Friday and want it delivered on Saturday, you will have to request a special Saturday delivery which has a different price schedule from the standard overnight fee. If you live in a region that exhibits extreme hot or cold temperatures we recommend you choose the express overnight shipping method. California Pet Pharmacy is not responsible if the content(s) of your package undergo inclement weather as this is out of our control. It is the client’s responsibility to consider current weather conditions when ordering medications. If arrangements need to be made on a particular shipping service or shipping method, it is the client’s responsibility to contact our customer service line at 877.554.4797 to discuss how we can help make arrangements. Additional charges may be applied at that time.
Delivery Turn-around Time
The average delivery turn-around time for prescription orders to be shipped once we receive authorization is 24 to 72 hours. If you placed a prescription order and requested us to contact your veterinarian for its authorization, please do not expect your order to be delivered 3-4 days after you submitted it as there may be delays in the authorization process.
Returns may be made within 2 weeks of the acquisition of the shipped goods. Only unopened/unused goods will be credited minus shipping. There is a 20% restocking fee for all items returned.
In order to return an item, you will need to request a Return Authorization Number from our customer service department at 877.554.4797.
We do not accept returns of prescription items. The FDA does not allow us to take them back. Please reference the following link to learn more.
