Cautions:

Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Use with caution if your pet is pregnant or lactating. Do not use in animals with a known hypersensitivity to Benazepril. Notify your veterinarian if your pet has ever had an allergic reaction to this medication or any other ACE-inhibitor, such as enalapril, captopril, or lisinopril. This medication may relax blood vessels, causing animals to become weak due to low blood pressure. In addition, it may interact with other medications including furosemide, spironolactone, other vasodilators, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). At higher doses, Benazepril can affect the blood supply to the kidneys leading to kidney failure. Therefore, kidney values should be monitored closely throughout treatment. Finally, if you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while giving this medication, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Possible Side Effects:

Adverse reactions and serious side effects are rare, however, they can occur. In the case of a more serious reaction, seek immediate veterinary attention. Some common signs of adverse reactions or serious side effects are fainting, fever, pale gums, cold limbs, diarrhea, or shock.
